Sidbury Cricket Club new Pavillion
Why we need a new pavillion
Our current pavilion, built in the mid-1980s, has served us well, but as the club has expanded, it has become increasingly clear that the facility no longer meets the needs of our players or visitors. Whilst it's rustic charm has endeared itself to many, as membership is now increasing we are aware it falls short of modern standards and doesn’t offer the space, access, or comfort required to support the level of activity and engagement we now enjoy.
Where are we now
With a growing number of adult players and a thriving junior section, it’s time for a pavilion that reflects the club’s ambition and provides a welcoming environment for all.
In 2023, we secured planning permission for a brand-new, purpose-built pavilion that will support the club today—and into the future.
The new pavilion will include:
Modern, inclusive changing rooms
Accessible facilities for disabled users
Toilets for all visitors
Covered outdoor seating areas
A welcoming club room for gatherings, refreshments and events
A modern kitchen to serve both players and guests
This will not just be a facility for cricket, it will be a space that reflects the energy and inclusiveness of our club today.
Whilst the picturesque setting of our ground is one of the key aspects of why members and visitors alike love the club, if does cause a few headaches in terms of building a new Pavilion. Hence why its only now we are commencing the fundraising plans.
We will need a lot of support and help in order to achieve our goal, as such if you would like to find out more about our plans and/or how you can get involved, please do get in touch.
